
People who pay for a subscription to live stream The Weather Channel through its dedicated smart TV app are seeing a 66.7 percent price increase.
The TV app, available through Android TV, Fire TV, Roku, and Samsung TV, used to cost $3 per month or $30 per year. According to the Internet Archive’s Wayback Machine, those prices were valid in April 2026. Now, a subscription to the streaming app costs $5 per month, or $50 per year, as Cord Cutters News reported today.
In addition to live streaming The Weather Channel broadcast network, The Weather Channel TV app also offers on-demand programming, local forecasts, maps, radar, and news. The app launched in May 2022 and allows people to access The Weather Channel reports without a cable or satellite television subscription.
